Established UK talent
Ridney returns to
Great Stuff with a brand new track that’s made for big rooms and sun-soaked parties and comes complete with remixes from Rotterdam’s excellent
Taras Van De Voorde and
Talul.
A light, uplifting chord stab melody distills the emotion of trance into a more subtle form on
''It’s Over'', punctuating a chunky yet deft groove that’s fizzing with energy. A more intense synth layer is bolstered to the chords for those all-important builds, while twinkling arpeggios grace the breakdown and later sections. It’s musically pretty and hugely euphoric stuff.
Taras Van De Voorde gets busy on the first remix, building up a more complex groove and a bassline that mirrors and compliments the chord sequence by turns. It’s got the infectious synth energy of vintage ‘80s pop, but with the urgency and texture of modern day House and Techno and the result is joyous to behold.
Talul provides the other remix, going into the opposite direction and mellowing out the original just a little. The breakdowns and soaring strings nod to Balearic/ambient delicacies of yesteryear, and with the whole thing slowed down a few notches, it’s a more delicate version for deeper floors.
